Welcome to Mahpiya Hdega School, located on Treaty 1 territory in Dakota Plains Wahpeton Nation. Mahpiya Hdega School proudly educates 87 students from Kindergarten to Grade 8 and offers specialty classes such as Dakota language, land-based education, and cultural education.

The school is full of great facilities, including a library, gymnasium, and computer lab. The teachers and staff strive to create a learning environment inclusive of Dakota language, culture, and practices.
